Our bi-annual Pitch Day is coming up in 7 days.  I am really excited for this on many fronts.

First of all – why is it called the Showcase instead of Pitch Day some are wondering?  Is it new age marketing.  Is it boredom with old cliche event language?

Read my partners blog post on this to understand how the SEC is making it harder on startups to raise money when they talk about it publicly.

So, we call it a Showcase and the companies make no public reference to raising money but they are all on the fundraising tract.  If you are a qualified investor, come see what 6 companies are building to disrupt mobile publishing, home improvement, education course material, web content consumption, internet marketing and client communications.

A week from today, we are holding our Showcase in Raleigh at the Fletcher Theater for the first time.  A couple reasons for my excitement and all of them are good.

First, we are a regional organization and target companies from the southeast US not just Durham.  Moving our event around supports that notion.  Secondly, we are partnering with the Internet Summit event held in the Raleigh Convention Center following our Pitch Day.  These guys have an awesome speaker series lined up and a great entree to that is the TSF Showcase.

Friends & supporters of TSF and the Triangle’s tech ecosystem – – please come out and support these 6 great companies launch themselves into the world.  Let’s show them what kind of tight community we have.  See you all there . . . .
