A recent blog post on one of my favorite sites (www.growthhackers.com) listed 22 ways to improve your productivity. Not sure where you are in the “how am I doing” self-awareness game, but I am always looking for ways to get better quality through-put on my tasks.
It seems the older I get, the more I think less about brute-force and more about efficiency and productivity. Some of these are pretty neat – some are pretty silly. Some I feel are really really important.
Here is their list:
- Get a Full Night’s Rest
- Take Naps
- Eat a Banana (Or Something Like It)
- Double Down on Monitors
- Buy Some Houseplants
- Work By a Window
- Slice Up Some Lemons
- Control Your Temperature
- C’mon, Feel the (White) Noise
- Crank Up the (Soft) Tunes
- Limit Your E-mail Use
- Cut Off Your Social Media Addiction
- Don’t Try to Multi-Task
- Chew Some Gum
- Wake Up Early. Like, Really Early.
- Get Started
- Plan to Relax
- Track Your Time
- Ditch Your Perfectionism
- Look at Cute Animals
- Get Up Out of That Chair
- Say “No” The Right Way
So in the interest of a little passive survey for a future blog post, comment or email me which ones you do in this list.
Here are mine: 1,2,3,4,9,10,11,12,13,15,16,17,19,21,22 (15 of 22).
